Samvedana Foundation, Malpe, will organise a programme to create a world record by reciting Vande Mataram wherein around 2,000 students would be taking part on January 13, 2018.

Speaking to reporters, Malpe's Samvedana Foundation's leader Prakash Malpe said that the aim to set a Golden Book of World Record would be held at Malpe shore. The major goal is to create patriotic fervour among students, he said.

He added that actor Yash, singers Rajesh Krishnan, Sangeetha Ravindranath and Malini Keshav are among others who would join the group of students on the occasion. A 200-meter length national flag would be carried in a grand procession before the programme from Gandhi Shathabdhi Maidan in Malpe to the beach. More than 25,000 people, excluding students, are expected to take part in the mega event.

Already students in the district from 40 colleges are trained under well-known musicians. He added that the other programme taken up under Samvedana Foundation, Malpe is to develop 100 forests in the state. The green initiative is already being considered at Udupi, wherein two seers of Asta mutts have agreed to offer lands at different places for the purpose, he added.
