Mysuru city police get bomb threat call

An anonymous caller called the Mysuru City police control room on Wednesday at about 8 am, threatening that a bomb had been placed in the People's Park in the city.

Situation turned tense for a while because the park is opposite the public bus stand.

The city police, bomb squad and sniffer dog unit rushed to the spot, searched and found a suspicious device connected to a battery, close to the bus stand.

Nazarbad police have registered the case and are investigating.
