Mahamastakabhisheka: 18 fire tending vehicles to be on service

Regional Fire Officer, Mysore zone, Eshwar Naik visited the satellite towns under construction on account of the Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka and inspected the site, on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters, Eshwar Naik said, "One fire tending vehicle will be sent to the spot on December 21 (today) and stationed there. After the construction works at the satellite towns are completed, 18 more vehicles will be sent."

Two vehicles of 16,000 litres capacity, eight vehicles with 4,500 litres capacity, four Quick Response vehicles, and four fire engines will be on service during the festival, he said.

He called upon the devotees to be cautious to prevent any fire mishap during the month-long festival. The use of any equipment that ignites a fire accident should be reduced as much as possible. The employees deputed for the mahotsava have been given special training, he explained.

Mahamastakabhisheka special officer N Varaprasad Reddy, District Fire Officer Ranganath, and Mysuru district Fire Officer K P Gururaj were present.
