The one-man inquiry commission, which began its investigation into the death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, on Friday issued summons to jailed V K Sasikala and Apollo Hospitals founder Dr Prathap C Reddy.

Former judge A Arumughaswamy, who led the probe panel, asked Sasikala, who is currently lodged in Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru, to appear before the commission within 15 days. Sasikala was Jayalalithaa's aide until her death.

Sources said that summons were sent directly to Bengaluru prison.

Likewise, Arumughaswamy also asked Dr Prathap Reddy and his daughter Preetha Reddy to appear within ten days, besides submitting all the medical records in connection with Jayalalithaa's treatment given at Apollo Hospitals.
