Woman found dead with throat slit

A 29-year-old homemaker was found murdered at her residence in Kabbehalla near Kamakshipalya in Bengaluru west on Tuesday.

The victim, Taslima Banu, married to Abdul Razzaq with two children, was found murdered with her throat slit.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) M N Anucheth, said the murder came to light when her elder son returned home at around 3.30 pm.

"We suspect that the murder happened between 10.30 am and 3.30 pm. We are checking CCTV camera footage in the surrounding area," the officer said.

"According to local residents, a person at around 11 am had come asking for victim's address and went towards her house. There was no forced entry into the house. All jewellery on her were intact. We are verifying whether any valuables from the house are missing," the officer said.

Kamakshipalya police are verifying claims of Razzaq, a car mechanic, that he was at work and was not aware of the murder, said Anucheth.
