'Sanskrit Varsha' district meet on December 31

'Sanskrit Varsha' district-level conference will be organised by the Sanskrit Bharati district unit at Bhuvanendra Vidya Samsthe on December 31.

Addressing reporters on Wednesday, Sanskrit Bharati District Committee vice president Sacchidananda said that MLC and Opposition Chief Whip in the Legislative Council Capt Ganesh Karnik will inaugurate the meet at 9.30 am. Yalanadu Mutt pontiff Jnanaprabhu Siddarama Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Former lecturer Lakshminarayana will preside.

An interaction will be held on 'Sanskrit and Science' at 12.30 am. JVS Women's PU College principal Tejaswini, Sanskrit scholars Hiremagaluru Vaishnavasimha and Vishwanatha Sharma, Beluru, will take part in the interaction.

The valedictory programme will be held at 4 pm. Sanskrit Bharati district unit president Narendra Pai will preside over the programme. Vasavi Vidya Samsthe joint secretary Dinesh Gupta will be present for the event.

A Yakshagana play will be performed by the members of Kumara Pratishthana, Haluvalli, at 5.30 pm.

Sanskrit Bharati co-convener Prashanth Sharma, and members Nagaraj and Venkatesh were present.
