Fifteen of the 46 accused in the Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) land acquisition scam have applied for anticipatory bail before the Third Additional District and Sessions Court, on Wednesday.
The applicants include, G D Harishgowda, son of MLA G T Devegowda, and KHB Executive Engineer M Sannamalappa. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have booked Harishgowda, G T Devegowda's brother G Yaduvar and others on December 18. However, Harishgowda, Yaduvar and others are absconding.
Assistant Executive Engineer M B Somashekar, Assistant Engineer M Mahesh and three middlemen, who were arrested by ACB officials, have obtained bail on Tuesday.
