Anna Hazare to visit Hubballi on Jan 4

Noted anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare, who will launch a nation-wide stir demanding the Jan Lokpal, in Delhi on March 23, will visit Hubballi and address students, farmers and others at Nehru Stadium here on January 4 at 3:00 pm.

Bhrishtachar Virodhi Janandolan Samiti member Sri Basavajayamruthyunjaya Swamiji of Koodalasangam told media persons here on Thursday that Anna Hazare is launching an agitation demanding anti-corruption measures, farmers' welfare and election reforms, and he would explain his views in Hubballi and would interact with the public, to create awareness about the movement.

On Mahadayi

Anna Hazare is already aware of Mahadayi issue. As it is a major problem for farmers in this region, he would be urged to include solution for Mahadayi dispute in his demands, and to write letters to the prime minister and chief ministers of Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka. Prime minister's intervention is the only way to resolve the dispute fast, and to get Mahadayi water for drinking purpose in the region, the seer said.

Anna Hazare will also visit Belagavi on January 5. He will also take part in Gavisiddheshwar Mutt Jatra Mahotsava in Koppal on January 2.
