17 railway stations in state to get WiFi facility

Eight railway stations in Karnataka have been provided with public WiFi facility while similar facility is being planned for another 17 stations, Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain informed Rajya Sabha on Friday in a written reply.

Replying to a question by K C Ramamurthy (Congress), the minister said Bengaluru City, Mangaluru Central, Kalaburagi, Hubballi, Mysuru, Yeshwantpur, Bangarpet, Kengeri and Dharwad railway stations have been provided with WiFi facility.

The national transporter has plans to provide similar facility at Wadi, Bidar, Arasikere, Bagalkot, Banasawadi, Bhadravati, Birur, Gadag, Harihar, Hassan, Haveri, Koppal, Londa, Mandya, Toranagallu, Tumakuru and Yelahanka in next  one year, he stated.
