Metro delays as power supply interrupted; commuters stranded
The Majestic metro station witnessed an unprecedented rush of passengers on Tuesday morning as the power supply was interrupted within BMRCL network from 10.02 am to 10.28 am.

Many trains delayed in the Purple line and announcements were made about the delay in the station.

Besides the delay, trains were running at a slower speed. There were just a few seconds of gap between two trains. Even then hundreds of passengers were forced wait for the next train.

Security guards found it difficult to control the crowd.

A guard told DH that he is not aware of what is happening while admitting that there were certain issues. He also claimed that it was for the first time that he was witnessing such rush.

Normalcy was restored at 11 am and the trains services were evenly distributed through short loops service to clear the rush.
