JOIN USThe Cubbon Park police arrested a 34-year-old man for kissing his female colleague during the New Year celebrations at his office on Vittal Mallya Road. The arrested, identified as Paul Raj, is an employee of a private firm and has been released on bail.
According to the police, the woman, who has been working with the company since 2013, stated that all the employees were exchanging New Year wishes when Paul Raj approached her, gave her a hug and kissed her.
The woman objected to his inappropriate behaviour and lodged a complaint with the Cubbon Park police.
The police booked him under IPC section 354 and took him into custody.
The suspect told the police that both of them had been friends for the past four years and they had a misunderstanding recently. He wanted to patch up with her by wishing her New Year and denied that he kissed her.
