JOIN USA 21-year-old woman was among two people who committed suicide in the city in separate incidents on Friday.
A 26-year-old man hung himself at his residence in Kurubarahalli near Basaveshwaranagar. Police suspect the man ended his life since he was unable to repay his debts.
Rajesh, of JC Nagar, recorded a 2.49-minute selfie video before ending his life. He said he was harassed by a financier Kiran, who had lent him Rs 25,000, because he was unable to repay the sum.
Rajesh also asked Kiran not to harass his family after his death, while also appealing to the public not to borrow from loan sharks.
Rajesh also said he was rejected by a girl despite his sacrifices to win her love. He said the girl made him suffer. The youngster also apologised to his parents for his suicide.
A police official said the incident took place late on Friday night.
The Mahalakshmi Layout police, who are probing the incident, are yet to quiz the financier who allegedly harassed Rajesh.
