CM to inaugurate development works worth Rs 121.55 crore

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to visit Kodagu district on Tuesday. He will inaugurate development works and also lay the foundation for development works worth Rs 121.55 crore in Madikeri and Virajpet Assembly constituencies.

He will distribute various facilities to the beneficiaries at 12 noon.

The chief minister will inaugurate Gandhi Bhavana (Rs 3 crore), Valmiki Bhavana at Arji in Virajpet (Rs 1 crore), Ekalavya Madari Vasathi school hall (Rs 99 lakh), and a hostel at Nittur-Karmadu (Rs 92.90 lakh). He will also inaugurate a post-matric girls' hostel developed by social welfare department, a road to Igguthappa temple at a cost of Rs 2.85 crore.

Siddaramaiah will inaugurate a drinking water project in Athooru and a musical fountain near Harangi reservoir.

He will also lay the foundation for post matric boys hostel at Alooru-Siddapura and Atal Behari Vajpayee Residential School.

Later, he will take part in Congress workers convention at district stadium at 3.30 pm.
