They promptly took pics of pug marks, uploaded them on app

Gundlupet (Chamarajanagar Dist):No tigers were sighted in the Bandipur tiger reserve on Monday. However, the volunteers found the pug marks of the tigers. However, three tigers were sighted in Nagarahole National Park.

As many as 300 people, including 56 volunteers from different organisations, NGOs, and Forest department personnel took part.

Conservator of Forests and Director of Bandipur Tiger Reserve Ambady Madhav said no tiger was, but elephants, bisons, leopards and wild dogs were sighted..

The volunteers, including a foreigner and a senior IASofficer, were among the participants. Pug marks of tigers were found at Bandipur, Kundakere, Omkar forest and other ranges. The volunteers have uploaded the pictures of the pug marks on the mobile data application as part of the census. The census concludes on January 13, said the director.

Three big cats were sighted at DBKuppe range, under Nagarahole tiger reserve on Monday.
