The fare for a one-way journey to  Madikeri is Rs 1,000 and Salem Rs 800. The buses, costing Rs 1.1 crore each, have toilets.

The KSRTC has been running fly bus services from the KIA to Mysuru and Kundapura (Udupi district) since  2014. As many as 3.90 lakh people have travelled on these buses ever since. The KSRTC plans to expand the service to other cities, Revanna said.
