The education sector is undergoing tremendous changes. Students have to focus on gathering knowledge in this competitive world, said film actor Elton Mascarenhas.

Stressing on the necessity of learning new things and building creativity, the actor said that extra curricular activities such as sports and cultural activities are as important as school curriculum. "It is important for everyone to have an individual goal which surpasses the peer pressure and which is based on personal interests," he said.

College Principal Dr Sr M Jeswina presided over the programme and said that there is no limit for success. Cultural aspects build our personalities, the Principal said.

Students from 17 different colleges in Mangaluru, Udupi and Madikeri took part in the event.
