Devanand Ram Bharose, a Holland-based Indian, was felicitated at Delampadi Yoga Kendra recently.
Devanand underwent training in yoga in Delampadi Yoga Kendra in Yeyyadi, Mangaluru for three months.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar appreciated Devanand's effort to come to India to learn yoga.
He meanwhile, requested the people who are based in foreign countries to follow Indian culture and promote yogic practice for health and wellness.
Sharing his experience, Devanand Ram Bharose said he lost 12 kg in three months.
Bharose said that in the process he attained peace of mind with the regular practice of yoga.
Yoga instructors Gopalakrishna Delampady, Veena Delampady and Neena Pai were present on the occasion.
