Week-long census: 18 tigers found in Bandipur

As many as 18 tigers sighted to the enumerators during the week-long 'Tiger Census' at Bandipur National Park and no big cats have been found at Nagarahole. The census that commenced on January 6, concluded on January 13.

On the last day, Saturday, two tigers sighted at Biligiriranga Hills, no tigers were found in Nagarahole Tiger Reserve.

According to the officials, 224 elephants, eight leopards, 63 wild dogs, 56 bison, 15 deer herd, 11 India Gaur, were sighted during the census programme.
