A fortnight after the Kamala Mills fire, Nagpur-based investor Yug Tuli, who is a co-owner of Mojo's Bistro surrendered before the Mumbai Police on Tuesday.

The NM Joshi Marg police station formally arrested him and produced before a Magistrate court, which remanded him to police custody till 20 January.

"My anticipatory bail application has been rejected and hence I am surrendering," Tuli said before he surrendered.

The 29 December fire at 1Above and Mojo's Bistro in the Kamala Mills compound at Lower Parel had claimed 14 lives including that of 11 women.

On 6 January, his name was included in the FIR and he was booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

Earlier, Yug Pathak, son of retired IPS officer KK Pathak, was arrested by the police. All three owners of 1 Above, the second pub where most of the deaths were reported, were also taken into custody on January 10.

It may be recalled while the Mumbai police in its initial report had found that the fire had originated from 1Above, the report of Mumbai Fire Brigade had concluded that fire started from Mojo's Bistro.
