Members of the Bahujan Samaja Paksha (BSP), Mysuru division, took out an awareness rally 'Prajaprabhutva Ulisuva Kadege Aneya Nadige' in Madikeri on Thursday, as a prelude to the party convention in Mysuru on January 26.
BSP state president N Mahesh said that the country is witnessing anti-democratic incidents. "Therefore, it is the need of the hour to protect the Constitutional values. The Constitutional ideologiy alone can bring about development in the nation," he insisted.
The president further stated that the Congress party, which has ruled the nation for 50 years, lacked foresightedness. "The state government too is making people lazy by providing freebies. No meticulous plans are being made towards providing good education and jobs. The NDA-led Central government too, has been neglecting serious problems such as unemployment and malnutrition," said Mahesh.
He accused the district administration of making the Palemadu residents deprived of crematorium. The people will give a befitting reply to the government for not providing basic facilities, he warned.
"The BSP has is conducting the awareness rally in the six divisions of the state, between January 15 and 26. The rally will pass through Sampaje, Sullia, Puttur, Belthangady, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan and Mandya before culminating in Mysuru, followed by party convention," explained Mahesh.
Party leaders Somashekhar, BSP district president Prem Kumar and general secretary Muhammed were present.
