BJP Parivarthana Yathra on Jan 24

The BJP Parivarthana Yathra will arrive in Kodagu district on January 24 and a convention will be held at Gandhi Maidan, said BJP district unit president B B Bharathish.

Addressing a press meet here on Friday, he said that the yathra is being organised to create awareness on the welfare programmes initiated by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and to highlight the failure of the Congress-led government in the state.

State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa, opposition leader K S Eshwarappa, MP Shobha Karandlaje, MLA C T Ravi, Appachu Ranjan, K G Bopaiah and Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda will take part in the convention.

The programme will commence after offering a pooja at Chowdeshwari temple at 10.30 am. A bike jatha will be held from Chowdeshwari temple.

BJP district unit general secretary Robin Devaiah said that the people of Kodagu district need not panic over the railway line from Mysuru to Kerala via Kodagu. MP Prathap Simha has promised not to implement the project.
