JOIN USPejawar mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swami met with a minor accident on his way back to Mangaluru from Mantralaya at around 9.45 pm on Friday.
Sources from Pejawar mutt told DH that the seer after completing his fifth Paryaya had been to Mantralaya and was returning back to Hyderabad airport to board the flight to Mangaluru.
The seer had performed all his religious and spiritual offerings and was resting in the car. He was drowsing when the driver of his SUV failed to notice the huge hump on the road near Kurnool and suddenly applied brakes at the last second. The seer who already had a backbone problem suffered a twist to his backbone.
The source said that the seer was immediately brought to Udupi and was referred to a hi-tech hospital at Amabalpadi junction.
The doctor has advised the seer to take complete bed rest. As a result, the seer had to cancel all his prior commitments and is undergoing rest.
