Stage set for BJP's 'Parivarthana Yatre'

Preparations are on for the valedictory ceremony of BJP's state wide 'Parivarthana Yatre', to be held at Maharaja's College grounds, here on January 25. BJPpresident Amit Shah and a host of Union Ministers will address people during the rally.

BJP leaders on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the preparation works. Speaking to reporters here, BJP city unit president Dr BHManjunath said that as many as 60,000 people will attend the programme which will commence at 3 pm and conclude at 7 pm.

BJP state unit president BSYeddyurappa, former chief ministers DVSadananda Gowda, Jagadish Shettar, SMKrishna, former ministers VSrinivas Prasad, SARamdas, MPs Pratap Simha, Shobha Karandlaje and a host of MLAs from the state will participate.

Political party leaders from JD(S) and Congress party will join the party on the occasion. However, Manjunath refused to disclose their names.

The party workers will take out rallies from 10 different locations such as Gun House Circle, Subbarayana Kere and Shantala Theatre in the city to the venue of the programme. The Parivarthana Yatre in Mysuru is a show of strength of BJP in the home town of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Amit Shah will highlight the lapses and irregularities of the state government, he said.

In reply to a query, Manjunath said, "All the party leaders are united and there is no difference of opinion among us. We will work together for the party's victory," he said.

Manjunath also informed the press that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a BJPworkers' conference scheduled in Bengaluru for February 4. Nearly one lakh party workers from parts of the state will attend the event.

BJP leaders approached

When reporters asked whether BJP invited JD(S) rebel leader KHarish Gowda to the party, the leaders said that Gowda himself met BJPleaders at Male Madeshwara Hill on Saturday night.

"We have never forced any leaders or people to join the party. The leaders or voters are welcome if they agree to joint the party without any demands and on their own, they said.

It may be mentioned that Harish Gowda had said that the leaders from BJPand Congress party invited him to joint the party. Gowda is an aspirant of B form from any political party to contest from Chamaraja Assembly segment.

BJP leaders Nandeesh Preetham, LNagendra, MRajendra and others were present.
