BMTC bus hits scooter, 1 killed

A man was killed on the spot and his wife was injured after a BMTC bus hit their scooter on the Mysuru Road near CAR Grounds  on Tuesday.

The victim, Mohammed Farooq (31), was a resident of Vijayanagar's Pipeline Road. His wife Bushra, who was riding pillion, is being treated at the Victoria Hospital for grievous injuries. The police said Farooq was a lab technician at a private diagnostic laboratory near the City Market area and his wife was a receptionist at the same lab. They were heading to work when the accident occuredaround 8.30 am.
