JOIN USThe teenager was identified as Ahmed Javed Khan (19). He had gone to Karwa society in Kapadia nagar in Kurla along with his uncle on Sunday evening in an SUV.
After his uncle left for some work, Ahmed took charge of a four-wheeler and while reversing it knocked down the four children, an Assistant Police Commissioner P R Satam said.
The 11-year old victim Asif Khan was killed in the incident, while his eight-year-old sister Fatima and two other boys, Rihan Choudhary (12) and Shirazuddin Qazi (18) suffered injuries. The injured are being treated in a hospital and are reported to be out of danger.
Ahmed Javed Khan, who deals in scrap business and is a resident of Vinoba Bhave area, surrendered before the police and was arrested on Monday, Assistant Police Commissioner Satam said.
