JOIN USThe funeral of India's first "female superstar", Sridevi, would be held around Wednesday noon.
Sridevi's body have been handed over to her husband Boney Kapoor, after the Dubai prosecution ruled out a foul play, on Tuesday.
Thereafter, it was taken for embalming and subsequently to the Dubai airport.
The post-mortem report and death certificate, issued on Monday, said "accidental drowning" is the cause of her death and there were "traces of alcohol" in her blood.
Over Monday and Tuesday, the Dubai prosecution authorities recorded the statement of Boney Kapoor.
A veteran of 300-plus films, Sridevi, aged 54, was found dead in room no. 2201 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, on Saturday.
Dubai Public Prosecution stressed that all regular procedures followed in such cases have been completed.
"As per the forensic report, the death of the Indian actress occurred due to accidental drowning following loss of consciousness. The case has now been closed," the Dubai Media Office said in a tweet.
She is survived by her husband, Boney Kapoor and two daughters - Jhanvi and Khushi.
The body would be brought in a special aircraft owned by business tycoon Anil Ambani, who is a family friend of the Kapoors.
Among those who would be in the private aircraft are filmmaker Boney Kapoor and his son from his first marriage- actor Arjun Kapoor.
From his first marriage to late Mona Kapoor, the filmmaker has two children son Arjun and daughter Anshula.
Sridevi's two daughters are now currently staying at the Juhu bungalow of their uncle and actor Anil Kapoor.
The private jet carrying the body is expected to land at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport between 9 pm to 11 pm.
The body would be taken straight to the Green Acres residence at Lokhandwala in Andheri suburbs. The body would be kept for 'darshans' for a few hours before being taken for cremation.
The last rites would be performed around Wednesday noon at the Vile Parle crematorium.
Sridevi went to Dubai for a family wedding last week and and stayed back after the ceremonies.
Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi had flown back to Mumbai, but her husband returned to Dubai on Saturday to ''surprise her'', according to reports.
