Jana Suraksha Yathre on March 3

To condemn the failure of the Congress-led state government, the BJP will organise a Jana Suraksha Yathre from Kushalnagar on March 3, said MLA M P Appachu Ranjan.

Briefing reporters here on Wednesday, he said that the Yathre aims at instilling confidence in people. "The Yathre will be flagged off at Kushalnagar by Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda. The valedictory of the Yathre will be held at Mangaluru on March 6 which will be attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath," he said.

"Hindu activists have been murdered and assaulted in Karnataka. The state government's failure in administration is responsible for the series of murders. The law and order in the state has deteriorated," Appachu Ranjan said.

MLC Sunil Subramani said Congress MLA and their children show their power in public. The officials are threatened, he added.

BJP district unit president B B Bharathish said that Congress is trying to destroy democratic set up.

The Yathre will pass through Guddehosru-Madikeri. A public meeting will be held at Gandhi Maidan at 2 pm on March 3.
