Local politician assaults police inspector's husband

Dr D Vinod, the husband of Gayathri, inspector of the mahila police station in Ballari has lodged a complaint that he was assaulted while on duty, by a local politician.  

According to the complaint filed at the Gandhinagar police station by Dr Vinod, a radiologist at the district hospital, on Friday, Farhan Ahmed, president of the Congress minorities city unit, assaulted the radiologist.    

Representatives of the Indian Radiology association, Radiologists Association and the Government Medical Officers Association met Dr Vinod to show support.
