
Energy Minister D K Shivakumar on Friday said the 375-MW gas-based power station at Yelahanka will start functioning in two months. It will come up at a cost of 1,650 crore.
He made the announcement after inaugurating the renovated Sharavathy hydro power plant near Kargal in Sagar taluk. He said the state government has directed a Central agency to conduct a survey on reuseof Sharavathy water for power generation.
