The class XII CBSE examination began on a good note with the English paper on Monday.
Nikhil Rajkumar, a student of Delhi Public School (North), said the time-management techniques he learnt in school helped him finish the paper on time.
"Usually, students have trouble completing the English paper. But we had two rounds of pre-board exams, so we were trained well in managing our time. The paper was really good," he said.
The class X examination also began on Monday, but with an easier subject. On Monday, it was the Hindi language paper.
The Business Studies and Biology examinations of II PU (state board) were also held on Monday.
Vaishnavi M from Thyagarajanagar found the Business Studies paper easy.
"I expect to score above 90 marks. The questions were mostly covered in previous year's papers. Thoroughly studying the NCERT textbook and solving previous year's papers helped me a great deal," she said.
Ranjan B S, a student of Deeksha Centre For Learning, said the Biology paper was easy. "Most of the questions were from the textbook itself. They were all answerable and there was sufficient time. I even answered a few extra questions," Ranjan said.
The Business Studies paper was written by 2,23,845 students and skipped by 8,767 candidates. A total of 1,63,281 students wrote the Biology paper, while 3,966 were absent.
One student was debarred for malpractice in Bagalkot during the Business Studies paper.
