BJP has promised me ticket: KSE

Leader of the Opposition in the  Legislative Council K S Eshwarappa on Monday claimed that the BJP had assured him of the ticket to contest from the Shimoga Assembly constituency.

"Issues regarding the party's official candidate from Shimoga Assembly segment have been cleared. I will stay off from Sangolli Rayanna brigade as the party has promised me the ticket,"he told reporters here.

"The Congress will bite the dust due to factionalism and infighting. Like in the past, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will surely ensure KPCC president G Parameshwara's defeat in Koratagere," he said.

Eshwarappa termed IPS Officers' (Karnataka) Association president ADGP RP Sharma's letter to Chief Secretary K Ratna Prabha about political intervention in the investigation of key cases as the biggest insidious incident in the history of the state.

"The state government's order for an enquiry about the letter indicated Siddaramaiah's dictatorial attitude," Eshwarappa said.

"The attack on Lokayukta justice Vishwanath P Shetty, R P Sharma's letter and Mohammad Nalapad's attack on Vidwath clearly mirror the government's failure over controlling bureaucracy," he charged.
