 The fellowships are designed to further research in the area of Information & Communication Technology. As part of the programme, HP Labs, India will be offering scholarships to candidates to pursue PhD programmes at HP Labs and they will be registered with BITS, Pilani for up to three years. Applications are invited from students who hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Communication. The PhD will focus on areas such as multimodal human interfaces, simplified web interfaces, gaze in information retrieval, Indian language information retrieval, camera-based image processing, compressed sensing in computer vision and image processing amongst others. The fellowship is offered for one year and will be renewed annually based on the satisfactory performance in studies and research, for a maximum of three years. Candidates will receive a monthly stipend and HP will cover all academic-related fees. Additional living expenses will also be included in the scholarship when they are working in Bangalore. Seminar on aviation
