Don't come to Karnataka to narrate lies, Dinesh Gundu Rao tells UP CM

KPCC working president Dinesh Gundu Rao on Thursday asked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath not to visit Karnataka only to narrate lies as his party has bitten the dust in the by-election.

"The BJP has been defeated in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections. Hence, Adityanath need not come to Karnataka to narrate lies and  raking up communal issues. However, he is welcome to visit the state for discussions on development and welfare," Rao said.

The BJP leaders like Shobha Karandlaje, Anant Kumar Hedge and C T Ravi fuel communal violence and divide society on caste lines, Rao charged.

Regarding the controversy over according the status of independent religion to Lingayat faith, Rao maintained that the Congress party did not have anything to do with the issue.
