Govt to collect water bill arrears in installments

Speaking to reporters  Suresh Kumar said the arrears has grown into a huge amount over the years. The plan is to formulate a scheme to settle the issue once for all. The Government is also planning to waive off the interest amount on the arrears, he added.

He said the Government will convince the Governor on the controversial cow slaughter ban bill, which has been drafted as per the provisions of the constitution. The Government will apprise the Governor on these aspects of the bill, he added.

Asked about the opposition for the bill, he said it has been passed in the Legislative Assembly. The Government will table it in the Council in the coming session and present all facts.
