Speaking after inaugurating the Vijaya Sankalpa Samavesha at the Sri Durgaparameshwari Kala Mandir here on Tuesday, Eshwarappa said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee could not become the Prime Minister again since BJP leaders and workers had failed to take his achievements to the people. However, workers in the State have exerted enormous efforts that the BJP could secure power, he said and added that the Gram Panchayat election is an election of party workers.

He said that in 1981, there were only four members in the State Assembly. “BJP will secure power in the State and at the Centre too in future,” he asserted. The BJP government under Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will complete its term by ruling the State for another three years, he added.

Eshwarappa asserted that BJP does not give priority to those leaders, who value themselves above the party. Party workers should co-ordinate with the party.

All minor issues should be sorted out within the party office, he suggested.

District-in-Charge Minister J Krishna Palemar, Sullia MLA S Angara, Party State Vice President Sulochana G K Bhat, MLC Kota Srinivasa Poojari, District Organising Secretary Sanjeeva Matandoor, Constituency Committee President Venkat Dambekodi and others were present.
Local Congress workers including Bharathi Katta, Markanja Hoovaiah Gowda, Monappa Gowda, Kerpala Prabhakara Nayak, Aletti Hemavathi Padpu and others joined BJP on the occasion.
