Amit Shah meets murdered activist Raju's family

BJP president Amit Shah met the family of Raju of Kyathamaranahalli in Mysuru city on Friday. Shah is on a tour of Mysuru district for campaigning.

It maybe recalled that Raju was killed by a rival gang on Udayagiri Main Road on March 13, 2016, in broad daylight.

One accused Abib Pasha, was arrested but the remaining accused are still absconding. Police said Pasha is wanted in many more murder cases and is currently out on bail.

Shah said there was no place for violence in politics. He warned Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that protecting people who murder Hindu and BJP workers may not help him to win the polls.  

Shah added that if BJP is voted to power, the Yeddyurappa government will take steps to arrest all the accused, no matter where they are hiding, and punish them.

He said Raju was representative of the 24 activists who have died fighting for principles and assured the families of all victims that the BJP is with them.
