Amitabh Bachchan

"I enjoy watching almost all the movies of Amitabh Bachchan. He is an exceptional actor and a wonderful human being. I somehow got compared to Amitabh Bachchan during my younger days because of my height and voice. My friends from college used to call me 'lambu'. I haven't had the good fortune of acting with him but I admire him for his exemplary work. I also like Kamal Haasan for his versatility and style."

Krishna Jyothy Sarma

"My mother Krishna Jyothy Sarma is my inspiration. She passed away in 2006 but she continues to live on in
us. My mother was a good actor and an exceptional dancer. She believed that both academics and arts must be carried forward with equal fervour. She encouraged me to learn bharathanatyam, kuchipudi, music and enrolled me for horse riding. She taught me Sanskrit and thanks to her, I can speak Kannada, Tamil and Telugu fluently. I am what I am today because of my mother and I owe my success to her."

Valley of Flowers

"I go on temple visits to Uttaranchal and Himachal pretty often. I have been to Valley of Flowers many times, but I always yearn to go there again. My all-time favourites places are Varanasi, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Gangotri and Yamunotri. I have travelled to several places abroad, but I still love these beautiful places in our country. On my wishlist is a drive around the world in my four-wheeler."

"My world revolves around Ilayaraja. I have been following his work right from his first film in 1977. He is one of the greatest music composers of our time and there is some inexplicable magic in his music. I listen to his songs when I am in a good mood while some of his compositions that lift my spirit when I am feeling low."

Eckhart Tolle

"There are two books that have shaped my personality. 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle has helped me deal with the toughest of times. 'Autobiography of a Yogi' by Paramahansa Yogananda has given me some good insights and helped me look at life from a new perspective. I don't get much free time but I do make it a point to read books like these; they are my constant companions. They give me strength and boost my confidence."

Aloo fry

"I am a pure vegetarian and many find it hard to believe that. I don't even eat egg. My favourite dish is aloo fry, sambar, rice and 'palya'. This coupled with pappad completes my meal. I could have potato fry at any time of the day. I also make good coffee."
