Fans assemble to catch a glimpse of Salman

On Thursday, the Jodhpur court premises turned into a  fortress with a thick layer of security.

With three security layers in the wake of the threats given by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to  harm Salman, none of the fans was allowed to enter the premises.

While many of them  were upset after he was convicted, some of them were the least bothered by it.

"I don't know what the case is all about. I read in the newspaper today that he will be presented in the court, so I  came here", said Pooja Sharma, an engineering student who skipped her college, on Thursday.

As many as 200 police personnel, an emergency response team and women commandos were stationed at the court premises.

"We did not want to take a  risk. Hence we restricted entry of  civilians in the court", Amandeep singh, DCP (East Jodhpur) told DH.

However, the court premises remained abuzz with hundreds of scribes, TV journalists and outside broadcast vans.

Even in the scorching heat of Jodhpur, for which its called the "sun city", fans stayed under the sun in 40 degrees Celsius  for hours outside the court to get a glimpse of their favourite stars.
