Three persons were killed on the spot and two sustained injuries after the car they were travelling turned turtle at Degulhalli in Kuttur taluk on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Mallikarjun (25) of Mandya, Sudheendra Gowda (26) of Hunasur and Raghunath (25) of Bengaluru. Car driver Mohammed Riyan of Bhadravathi and Amit R P sustained injuries in the accident.
All the five were returning to Bengaluru from Goa. The accident occurred as the driver lost control over the speeding vehicle. The car turned turtle and hit a tree killing three on the spot, police said.
