Dr Rajkumar
"I think everyone connects to Dr Rajkumar. In my childhood, more than watching his films, I used to listen to cassettes of the film. I was drawn to his performance through this. I love how he delivers lines. The audience often connects to the personality of an actor and he was the epitome of perfection. I loved him in the movies 'Bhakta Prahlada', 'Mayura' and 'Sri Krishnadevaraya'."

"I read a lot of Kannada literature. As an actor, I need a window to different characters and this is possible through the many books around us. Books are a great guide to express emotions. My favourite author is Kuvempu and I loved his work 'Malegalalli Madumagalu'. His thoughts are universal and his writing style is very impressive. Poornachandra Tejaswi and Devanur Mahadeva are my other favourite Kannada writers. In English, my favourite writers are Ayn Rand and Paulo Coelho."

Oberammergau, Germany
"I travel to gain experiences, meet different people, listen to and understand varied stories and appreciate culture and traditions. When I am travelling, I prefer using local transport. One of my favourite places is Oberammergau, a village in Munich. It is a very culturally active city. In India, my favourite place to travel to is my hometown, Arsikere in Hassan."

"After my tenth standard, I stayed in hostels in different places. Thus, my favourite food is always my mother's cooking. I always miss home food. I love 'Chitranna', especially the way she prepares it. I would love to set up a hotel which just sells 'Chitranna'. Another favourite is 'Obattu' at VV Puram eat street."

"Music is very important to me. I choose my music according to my mood, especially when I am driving. I like Ilayaraja's music as it is very soothing and calming. His compositions for movies like 'Geetha', 'Aa Dinagalu' and 'Pallavi Anu Pallavi' are my favourites. Hamsalekha's music is also one of my favourites."

Christian Stoeckl
"He is a big theatre director from Oberammergau. We met in Mysuru and he inspired me to take bold steps in my career. He kept telling me that I should chase my dreams and assured me that any director would love to cast me in big projects. I was inspired to take up acting seriously because of him."
