Giving the BJP's hunt for votes a 'colourful' look, BJP national President Amit Shah's roadshow held on the main thoroughfares in the market area of the City on Thursday evening included music, dance and folk troupes.

In a specially-designed bus, Mr Shah's roadshow began from Moorusaviramutt school ground, and after one hour and 15 minutes, it concluded at Durgadabail, after moving via Dajibanpet, Belgaumgalli, Javalisal, Sarafgatti, Baradangalli, and Radhakrishnagalli.

BJP workers raising 'Modi, Modi' slogans, folk troupes, drums, Hagaluvesha and huge dolls added special colour to the road show. Banners, buntings and flags were also displayed.

Throughout the route, people standing roadside watched the procession, while flower petals were also showered on the vehicle. Mr Shah waved at the people, and he threw back some garlands to the people.

Addressing the gathering at Durgadabail later, Mr Shah predicted a landslide victory for the BJP, and stated that Puducherry would be the only State to be left for the Congress Party to have its government, after the Karnataka Assembly elections.

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is frequently visiting Karnataka to save his party's last government, as it is an ATM of corruption for that party. But, people have decided to throw it out. Karnataka would be the No 1 State when B S Yeddyurappa becomes the chief minister, as the State would be strong partner for development with the Union Government. So far, the Congress government hindered development works, he added.

State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa predicted that Jagadish Shettar would win in this elections with a margin of 25,000 votes.

Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Jagadish Shettar, and MP Pralhad Joshi stressed the need to win BJP candidates in all constituencies in the district.

Earlier, Mr Shah met Sri Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Swamiji and other seers, at Moorusaviramutt.
