Book on Ayurveda released

Speaking after releasing a book ‘Arogyada naranadi’ written by KVG Ayurveda Medical College Lecturer Dr Raghavendra Prasad Bangaradka here on Sunday, he said ayurveda has scientific base and has been practiced from time immemorial. Folk medicines are also popular in India along with ayurveda medicines.

He said: “We face difficulty when we are in darkness and does not have proper knowledge. The negative feelings within us make us feel jealous of others’ achievement.”  “If you have faith with the doctor and love towards others, then no disease can come near us. Don’t go to doctors when you don’t have any disease,” he advised.

To a query on family doctors, Dr Hegde said a study conducted across the world showed that people are less suffering in those countries where family doctors system is in practice. “Family doctors know their patients better than the disease.”

He said the book ‘Arogyada naranadi’ is written in the form of a story which could be understood by a commonman.  SCS Hospital Managing Director Dr Jeevaraj Sorake said the book provides valuable information on health and explains the importance of ginger, turmeric, nelanelli and tamarind.
