Batting first, St Bedes HS were bowled out for 132 in 44.2 overs with Sunny picking up six for 29. Man of the match Loven Gill (2/20) gave him good support. The lone bright spot in St Bedes’ innings was a fifty from M Sharukh Khan (55, 89, 8x4), but his effort was not enough for them to rattle up a competitive total. A Aswin Crist (22) and Indrajit B (27) got starts but failed to capitalise.

However, the St Bedes bowlers showed more grit than their batsmen as they plucked wickets at regular intervals, but Gill mustered an unbeaten 63 (81b, 5x4) as they survived the blows, reaching the target with 2.2 overs to spare. SR Harikrish (3/18) and B Aparajith (2/22) were the most successful bowlers for the Chennai outfit.
