JOIN USThe previous BJP-JD(S) coalition government had sanction Rs 20 lakh to construct the hall in order to encourage pro-Kannada programmes in the bordering area. The hall was decided to be constructed in front of DVG Rangamantapa.
The PWD which had taken up construction has failed to finish the work giving excuses.
The officers concerned have also failed to heed to the directions to complete the work by the Kannada Development Authority Officer.
Assistant Director of Kannada and Culture Department had also suggested the officers to submit proposal if they needed more funds for he work. But the PWD officers have not responded to this proposal also.
In the wake of apathy by the officers Kannada and Culture Department has issued a notice to complete the construction shortly.
Legislator Amaresh has also directed the officers to taken action.
