The CEO of BCIL, Chandrashekar Hariharan, received the award from Member of Parliament Hooda, at the Realty Plus Awards function held in Delhi recently.

The jury constituted a 14-member team comprising industry experts from consultancy, development, architecture, finance, chartered surveyors and environmentalists. They included Anoop Pabby, Joint Managing Director, Deutsche Post Bank (India), Anurag Mathur - Managing Director, Cushman & Wakefield (India), Firdose Vandrevala, Chairman and Managing Director, HIRCO, P C Jain, Chairman, Indian Green Building Council among others.
Chairman of the jury Anuj Puri, who is also the CEO of the international property consulting firm, JLLM, said, “There was really no competition for the high benchmarks set by BCIL in this project.”

The other contenders for the category were Tata Xylem in Bangalore, a Kirloskar project from Pune and a couple of other national projects. The green builder’s T-Zed has won six awards from five countries in the last three years. The property includes features like India’s first centrally air-conditioned (with no CFC and HCFC) residential campus and a campus which has no water supply connection from the outside.

Last year, T-Zed became the first completed residential apartment in the world, to receive the LEED Platinum rating, the highest rating for green buildings.
