Police traced the caller, who is in her sixties, detained her and let her off after questioning, police sources said. Her interrogation revealed that she was mentally stressed and angry with the government over the issue of price rise, they said.

She was let off after police found that she did not have any evil designs and Dikshit personally intervened asking them not to take any action against her, the sources said.
An anonymous call was made to the Police Control Room (PCR) by someone whose voice sounded like that of a "middle-aged woman's" on Thursday evening claiming that Dikshit's life was in danger for the next 72 hours.

Following the call, police strengthened the security of the Chief Minister, who has a 'Z+' cover. More personnel were also deployed at her 3 Motilal Nehru Marg residence.
"I do not have any fear. I am not worried also," Dikshit said when asked about the threat.
When asked if she would like to have a strengthened security team, she said, "It is not my duty" apparently meaning that police should decide on the matter. "Actually I wanted to cut down my security," she said.
