Sacrificing his fitness

Dakssh Ajit Singh, who plays the role of Bali in Jamunia, has reduced weight drastically because of packed shooting schedules. Dakssh, who is always seen  working out onscreen, sacrificed his daily fitness regime for the sake of Jamunia.

Dakssh mentions, “I am a fitness freak. I just can’t stay without exercising. Shockingly, after seeing my personality, the production people chose me for the same kind of role in Jamunia. I have never skipped my schedules for exercise. But, nowadays, I hardly get time to exercise. We are shooting day and night because of which, we don’t even get time for proper sleep neither are we able to eat on time. On top of that, it’s really hot in Kawardha, which is affecting all of us.

The summer is killing us over here. It’s been a month since I have worked out. I have almost reduced five kilos. If my friends see me like this, they won’t be able to recognise me! I have become really thin.”

Celebrating motherhood

A mother is the most important person in one’s life. Therefore, the entire team of Balika Vadhu got together recently to pay a tribute to the matriarch of the show. Maasa (Surekha Sikri) got a huge surprise party from the family.

According to Neha Marda (Gehna), “We arranged a grand party for Maasa, where a lot of actors from different serials of Colors performed. I performed three songs.

This function took place in Lonavala. I think this is the best gift we could have given to Maasa. As the matriarch of the family, Maasa has surely done a lot for the clan. Now it’s our turn to return the favour. But it’s nothing compared to the sacrifices done by mothers. This show is dedicated to every mom on this earth.”

Battling exploitative businessmen

HBO presents ‘Tarzan Goes To India’ on May 10 at 9 pm. The movie stars Jock Mahoney, Leo Gordon and Simi Garewal. Tarzan is called to India to help save the many elephants that are endangered by the opening up of a new dam.  The reservoir created will flood the elephants’ home territory, drowning them all. The Lord of the Jungle now has to battle exploitative businessmen, interested only in the bottom line.

Confused couple

Massakali Rakhi Sawant and mastkalandar Abhishek Awasthi have buried the hatchet.
The two, who are paired opposite each other in Zara Nachke Dikha on Star Plus, broke the ice when they shot for a dance sequence together.

A source present on the sets said, “They danced together, after which, Rakhi said Abhishek Awasthi is the best partner she has ever had.”

After a bitter break-up two years ago, the duo, Rakhi and Abhishek were not on talking terms. Being a mother’s special episode, Abhishek’s mother who was also present at the shoot, became quite emotional on watching her son dance with Rakhi.

The source added, “Abhishek’s mother, who was present in the audience, said Rakhi always was and will continue to be like her daughter.”

Abhishek’s mother also added that she has left it to fate to decide whether the former couple will reunite, but she definitely wants them to be together.

“An emotional Rakhi apologised for hurting her. Eventually, Rakhi and Abhishek too forgave each other.”

A rather subdued Rakhi Sawant said, “Yes, we have decided to let bygones be bygones. We don’t want any animosity between us as we are working together.

It doesn’t mean we are dating, but we are definitely friends again.”
