
During the three-hour event, from 7 am to 10 am, 47 performances by 68 performers were held. The Bengalis in the City and around eight Kannadigas, performed at the event.
There were programmes like Rabindra Sangeet (Tagore’s songs), Rabindra Nritya (dance based on Tagore’s songs) and recitation of Tagore’s poems.
Bengalis from all over the City took part in the celebration. To commemorate Tagore’s 150th birthday, The Bengalee Association also brought out a desk calender for the Bengali year with the famous images of Tagore.
