Last Updated 10 May 2010, 16:36 IST

An e-mail was sent to Deccan Herald Chikmagalur office from gangadhara21@rediffmail.com by Naxal leader Gangadhar, which read that  people linked to the Halappa incident are all corrupt persons who have been infamous for anti-social activities like rowdyism, fraud etc.

Naming some of the high profile politicians in the letter, the Naxal leader has alleged that these leaders have been benefited by Halappa incident either directly or indirectly.
Gangadhar said that an independent inquiry must be held to ascertain the names of the people who have benefited by the Halappa incident.

The letter further stated that since it so seems that some media to have played a role in Halappa incident, Press Guild must hold an inquiry into the same.
