In the first instance, an unauthorised construction including a shed and a garage was put up on an area spread over 32 guntas in survey no 3/3.
The Bangalore Development Authority had originally notified 32 acres of land in Agara village for the formation of HSR sector 1 Layout, way back in 1984.
BDA notification
The Authority recovered one acre 10 guntas of land in survey no 28/12, 13 and 14 in Somapura village. The BDA had notified the village for formation of Banashankari 6th stage, 6th layout. At present, formation of the layout is in progress.
Both the demolition drives were carried out by the BDA task force under guidance of police and engineers from south division.
